About Us
The 'we' you've been reading about here....

Is mostly me, Isaac Karpel the founder and owner (managing member) of IK Financial, LLC. I graduated from Baruch College (the business school of CCNY) with a BBA with a concentration in Accounting. Following a short stint as an auditor in NYC, and a job at IBM in NYC, I was presented with an opportunity to become an entrepreneur.
Naturally, I took it and never looked back. Since then some decades ago, I have been involved as an owner/founder/entrepreneur in two industries. The fashion clothing business, in which I was involved in retail, wholesale, export and manufacturing. The other industry was the fashion optical industry, were I was involved as an independent sales rep before starting a business distributing some European lines of eyewear. I then added my own line of luxury eyewear which was made partly in the Far East and the rest here in South Florida.
In every venture I’ve been involved in, I have done the bookkeeping myself at the start, until the business could afford bookkeepers, which I supervised. I’ve done the books in varying business software, including Quickbooks and others. So bookkeeping and accounting has been a part of my life always.
Aside from bookkeeping, and accounting, which honestly is not overly challenging, all you have to do is follow the well established rules of accounting by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) who is the main authority in charge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
I enrolled in Broward College’s Entrepreneurship Experience which is a Lean Launchpad Accelerator course. In this day and age, things change almost daily and it’s imperative to be at the forefront of any new wisdoms in the world of business and tech. It was a fabulous eye popping experience. It may be a new way to sell or pitch your idea to a venture capitalist, however, at the end of the day you still had to rely on all the basics of running a business, including bookkeeping and accounting (a lot of it).
The challenge, and that’s where experience is invaluable, is in interpreting the financial data to determine what those books are saying to you. Then, what solution can you come up with to overcome whatever challenges you face. There are fine details you learn with time which help you with unnecessary avoidable taxation. That is why I turned to this challenge. I feel I can help people to overcome many of the challenges I faced in my businesses.
I don’t need to conquer the world any longer, just earn a decent fee, and enjoy watching people succeed and grow. I am very excited at this new opportunity, and I look forward to meeting you.
Thank you, for visiting this website and for taking the time to read this.
Whether we meet or not, I wish you the best of luck, in whichever business you get involved in.
